Managing Director, Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC)

Working on Punjab Cities Program for infrastructure and institutional improvements in 16 cities of Punjab. The program aims at improvements of local governments for municipal services including water supply and sewerage systems in 16 cities of Punjab, municipal finance, pro-poor urbanization challenges, climate change, environmental and social considerations, transparency, induction of technology and systems, policy discussions to meet the challenges of rapid urbanization.

Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority

Creation of new drinking water supply organization (Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority) to provide water to all urban and rural population of Punjab province. The work included development of institutional vision, mission, strategy, policies, procedures and priorities for the organization. All these targets were achieving after conducting consultations and policy discussions with provincial and local governments, private sector, civil society as well as donors. The organization is now functioning efficiently and providing safe drinking water to more than 6 million population through its 1000 installations.

Managing Director Water & Sanitation Agencies of Lahore and Faisalabad

Transformed both water utilities into the best performing organizations in country in this sector major projects include:

  • JICA funded project for retrieval of sewerage and drainage system of Lahore City Rs. 983 million (2005-2008).

  • JICA funded project for Improvement of water supply system of Faisalabad

    by Development of water source at JB Canal Rs. 6 billion (2012).

  • JICA funded project for Upgradation of mechanical system of WASA Faisalabad Rs. 1 Billion (2015).

  • French funded project for Extension of water sources in Faisalabad including development of surface water source, ground water source at RB canal and Improvement of water distribution network Rs. 6 Million (2016).

  • Project for energy saving at Lahore including installation of 105 efficient tubewells in the city Rs. 2 billion (2017).

  • Innovative management of storm water through underground reservoirs to meet the climate change challenges at Lahore.

  • Water conservation through re-use of ablution water at Lahore to ensure economy of water usage to achieve water security of the city.

  • Water conservation through recycling of water at car wash stations to ensure economy of water usage to achieve water security at Lahore.

  • Development and successful contracting of PPP Project for water meters at Lahore to achieve improvement in water distribution network for sustainability and resilience of water source.

  • Development and working on pipeline Projects to be financed by AIIB including following:

    - Surface water treatment Plant and BRB Canal.

    - Laying of sewer line through TBM from Gulshan-e-Ravi to LARECHS Colony.

    - Wastewater Treatment Plants.

  • Development and working on pipeline Project to be financed by AFD for the construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant at BABU SABU.

  • Development and working on pipeline Project to be financed by DANIDA for the construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant at Katar Band Lahore.

  • Transformation of both water utilities into the financially and technically sustained and performing organizations.
