Engr. Ather Hameed Awan is Water Resources Development Expert. Currently posted as Chief Engineering Adviser & Chairman, Federal Flood Commission in the Ministry of Water Resources. He has experience of over thirty-three (33) years in the field of water sector in various capacities working on the projects related to Water Sector funded by the Government of Pakistan and the World Bank, Asian Development Bank. He also performed as Chief Engineer (Dam Safety Council) and Engineering Adviser in the Ministry of Water Resources. He was also involved in formulation of (i) draft National Water Policy (NWP) and NWP-Implementation Framework; and (ii) Formulation of National Flood Protection Plan-IV (NFPP-IV) and its further updation after 2022-flood.
