Jasmin Sadegh is a disaster risk management consultant at the World Bank’s Global Program for Safer Schools (GPSS) where she supports projects in Central Asia, South Asia, and East Asia Pacific regions. Her work focuses on maximizing large-scale government investments to improve the safety and resilience of school infrastructure from natural hazards, increase sustainability and climate adaptation measures, and enhance the quality of learning environments and inclusivity for children. Her global activities at the World Bank also include the development of post-disaster risk assessment tools and knowledge products. Her work for the Bank is based on extensive industry experience as licensed civil engineer designing projects across the USA and Germany. She gained further expertise in technology for the built environment through her Master of Science in Integrative Technologies and Architectural Design Research (ITECH) at the University of Stuttgart.
