Mr. Hamid is a humanitarian and development professional specializing in post-disaster recovery, shelter and settlement, and infrastructure programming. He has contributed to numerous recovery operations across Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, and has supported refugee settlement initiatives in Europe. His work with UN-Habitat and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has focused on disaster risk reduction, climate-resilient housing, slum improvement, and durable shelter solutions for IDPs and refugees. Mr. Hamid holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology, a master’s in project management, and an MPhil in environmental design. He currently serves as Deputy Programme Manager with UN-Habitat Pakistan.
